Professor Hopkins is the former Director of Outreach for the School of Law. Her legal experience ranges broadly. She has served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Virginia and Louisiana, an Assistant Attorney General in the Commonwealth of Virginia, an attorney providing legal assistance to various units of Wake Forest University, and an associate in a private law firm. Professor Hopkins has taught courses in the History Department and in the American Ethnic Studies Program for the College as well as a course in Business Drafting in the Wake Forest School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University and her Juris Doctor degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.
