Director, Washington Program
Professor David Gottlieb directs the Wake Forest law school Program in Washington, D.C. He is also a professor at the University of Kansas School of Law. He has had both clinical and non-clinical teaching experience in topics including criminal law, human rights, constitutional law, and professional responsibility. Professor Gottlieb has been a visiting professor at multiple universities including Howard University School of Law and California Western School of Law. He has also taught abroad in England, Ireland, and Turkey. Professor Gottlieb has co-authored two books and written numerous articles on a range of topics. He currently is working on a pro-bono project with the Board of Immigration Appeals. His past work in law includes working as an attorney for the Legal Aid Society of New York. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his undergraduate degree from Oberlin College.
