Maureen Eggert is one of the school's experienced and well-respected legal librarians.  She holds the position of Associate Director for Student and Instructional Services, and serves as an Instructor of Legal Research. She is also an adjunct professor with the University's Women and Gender Studies Department. She makes presentations to practicing lawyers and at meetings of the American Association of Law Libraries, and is the author of a number of articles for the same audiences. Her teaching and research interests encompass legal research and writing (electronic research, teaching legal research, and the effect that technology has had on legal ethics), education law (emphasis on gifted education, teacher's rights, and the impact that state and federal legislation has on teacher retention) and feminist jurisprudence (law and single women, especially the childfree and childless). Prior to coming to Wake Forest, Maureen was a reference librarian at the Mississippi College of Law. She has served as co-chair of the CLE program committee (2006-2007) of the Education Law Practice Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and is a former President of the South Eastern Section of the American Association of Law Libraries.
