WFU-LAW alumnus John Bryson (85) is a partner in the High Point law firm of Wyatt Early Harris Wheeler, LLP, where he has built a substantial criminal defense practice. Before joining Wyatt Early, Mr. Bryson served as an Assistant Public Defender in the 18th Judicial District of North Carolina. He was certified by the N. C. State Bar as a specialist in criminal law in 1992, and as a specialist in criminal appellate practice in 1994. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit; and the U. S. Supreme Court. He has litigated many significant cases to the appellate level.

Mr. Bryson was selected to North Carolina Super Lawyers in 2008 and 2009 and was named to the Business North Carolina Legal Elite in 2009. He frequently presents CLE lectures and has taught Trial Practice at Wake Forest University School of Law since 1994.
